The Chairman of the Ghlobal Diaspora Council, Jermaine Nkrumah delivered the Keynote remarks for a fundraising event hosted by the Yonkofa Project at the Metropolitan Coub in Atlanta last Saturday.
Attracting several donors and the Ghanaian community leadership in the Atlanta Metro area including Honorary Consul Yvonne McCowin, the event raised several thousands of dollars for medical equipment to help save lives at health facilities in the Western Region of Ghana including the Half Assini Government Hospital.
Nkrumah attended at the invitation of Dr. Deborah Martin and Dr. Gabriella Nanci, who have made several trips to Ghana and shipped dozens of containers filled with life saving equipment for the health centers.
