This past Wednesday, on the 4th of September 2024, I had the great pleasure of meeting our own chairman, Sir Jermaine at the Sheraton Hotel in Brussels, Belgium. This meeting was not originally intended as Sir Jermaine was to have a direct flight to Accra, Ghana. But the mere inconvenience led to a greater cause, the Belgian representative of the Ghlobal Council having the opportunity to meet and discussing the way forward with the Belgian delegation.
Through conversation on various issues such as diversity and cultural differences in Belgium, we discussed other matters of interest in the Belgian community. We had a brief conversation which made me realize how fortunate we are but also how important it is to unite the Ghanaian Diaspora I walked away acknowledging that in cooperation and togetherness, we can make the greater change and not be dependable on third parties but be interdependent on ourselves.
“Imagine a world where Ghana was running in the interdependence of their own people than to be dependent on third parties…”
Nana Agyeiwaa,
Belgian Representative to the Ghlobal Diaspora Council
