After waiting for almost two decades without the implementation of ROPAA, Ghanaians abroad appear open to paying a modest voter registration fee to help fund the operationalization of the voting franchise in 2028.
In a survey sponsored by the Ghlobal Diaspora Council (Ghlobal), 66.2% of respondents expressed an openness to paying a voter registration fee ranging between $10 and $100 to help fund ROPAA’s implementation, although they are aware that voting is a cost-free right to Ghanaians.
More results from the revealing survey will be shared in due course.
